The Encounter: Ruined Lives Transformed by The Risen Lord

The Rich Young Ruler Who Said Yes When Jesus told the rich young ruler to sell everything and follow Him, the man walked away sorrowful. But Jesus said, "With God, all things are possible." In 1883, C.T. Studd was England's greatest cricketer—a millionaire celebrity with fame and fortune. But after nearly losing his brother to illness, he asked himself: "What is all this fame worth when facing eternity?" At 25, he inherited over $5 million in today's money. And he gave every penny away to gospel work—to D.L. Moody, George Müller's orphanages, the Salvation Army, missions in China. Then he sailed to China as a missionary with no financial security, trusting God alone. When asked why, he said: "I had never understood that if Christ died for me, then I didn't belong to myself. When I came to see this, it didn't seem hard to give up all to Him. It seemed just common, ordinary honesty." C.T. Studd proved that with God, even a rich man CAN enter the kingdom. Even a camel CAN pass through the eye of a needle. Join us as we explore what it truly means to follow Christ—no matter the cost.
